Food Runner
: Job Details :

Miles, The Prince is seeking Food Runners. Candidates will be responsible for delivering all dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate guest in the dining room, following traffic patterns and dining room etiquette. They will know all of the dishes on the menu and be prepared to answer any questions from the guests in addition to clearing tables and general maintenance of the dining room. ****Please note this restaurant is in Westchester County****A primary goal of Miles, The Prince is to challenge the traditional perception of where beer belongs during a night out and elevate the guests' understanding of the beverage. A seasonal, chef-driven menu aims to be creative and thoughtfully executed alongside warm and welcoming service. The beers brewed on-site will mainly focus on the farmhouse styles such as Saison, Bièr de Garde and Sahti, but we will not limit ourselves as long as there is harmony between the food and beer.

Candidate Capabilities and Requirements:

• 2+ years of food runner experience
• Ability to carry 3 plates in two hands gracefully
• Strong food knowledge and familiarity with New American cuisine
• Must be able to clearly and articulately describe all dishes to guests
• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with both BOH and FOH team members
• Should have a general knowledge and understanding of Department of Health (DOH) food safety standards.
