DescriptionThe Food Runner is responsible for delivering prepared dishes to all guests, ensuring quality and expectations are met and to company standards while communicating and executing any needs or special requests. Stocking and maintaining plate ware and expo station supplies. Main Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent guest service according to expectations outlined in the training manual
- Carries out all tasks necessary to prepare the restaurant for service prior to pre-shift
- Ensures entire table order is completed prior delivering food
- Communicates with team member regarding any guest requests
- Ensures timely delivery of food following proper table and seat numbers
- Inspects each dish prior to delivery, ensuring it meets recipes and company quality standards
- Effectively expedite food from the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Complete daily and weekly side work on a consistent and thorough basis.
- Assist other team members as necessary and complete tasks assigned by the management team.
- Keep management informed of any problems, complaints from guests or other team members.
- Follow all company policies as outlined in company handbook.
Accountabilities:
- Addresses all guests in a positive and professional way, promoting company standards in providing quality product and service
- Takes all actions with the guest's best interest in mind, to build new business and avoid complaints
- Adheres to all Food Runner expectations as defined in the training manual at 100%
Requirements
- Read, understand and speak English. Able to communicate clearly and concisely § Able to coordinate, organize and remember details
- Able to stand for an eight-hour shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to reach above head and bend to put items on the floor or low shelves § Able to climb stairs and ladders
- Able to work as part of a team for the benefit of the guest
- Able to work at a consistently fast pace in a loud, smoke-filled environment
