- Delivers food from the kitchen to the guest's tables rapidly and accurately.
- Runs completed dishes to guests without auctioning off food items at table.
- Describe various food dishes to customers.
- Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu.
- Checks with guests during dining experience to confirm satisfaction, as needed.
- Acts as the contact point between Front and Back of house staff.
- Acts as support to bus servers, when possible.
- Keeps all service and table areas clean, organized and stocked.
- Ensures all tables and chairs are steady and sturdy.
- Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling.
- Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials.
- Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Board of Health.
- Performs other related activities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Deliver timely and courteous service to guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures.
- Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times.
- Strong customer service background.
- Ability to have an outgoing, friendly disposition for guest relations.
- Working knowledge of the full menu, including recipe details.
- Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards.
- Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in / out at times.
- Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required.
- Responsible for training and developing new employees to Peak Restaurant standards of service.
- Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies.
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all HR policies and procedures.
Education, Experience, Knowledge Requirements
- 1-2 years experience as a Food Runner in a similar caliber establishment is preferred
- A high school education is required
Physical / Special Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day.
- Mobility and manual dexterity appropriate to staff in the Food Runner position.
