Location: Fresno,CA, USA
Summary/Objective: Provide guidance and direction to staff to assure understanding, training and implementation of Food Safety Programs and testing procedures. Leading the team to ensure of compliance with Food Safety Audit (PrimusGFS, USDA, Organic, Customers, Internal). Responsible for coordination, performance or reviewing of the essential functions below for Fresno, Parlier and Madera Facilities.
Essential Functions:
• Routine Daily Inspections Inside and outside the facilities
• Managing Integrated Pest Management Program
• Spot checks on Critical Control Points (Chlorine, Peracetic Acid) & reporting issues to JBT
• Assisting sanitation team with pre-operational verification
• Environmental Monitoring Programs (ATP, Listeria, Air Sampling)
• Collecting numerous Food Safety related checklists/ documentation from all Departments
• Hosting Food Safety Committee Meetings
• Assisting Sales with Customer Food Safety Surveys & Questionnaires
• Maintaining Food Safety Portals (Repositrak, Azzule, Customers)
• Perform routine traceability exercise
• All other essential duties designated by Director, Food Safety
Requirements:
• At least 5 yrs. working in Food Packing/Manufacturing Company (Food Safety, Quality Assurance or Sanitation related experiences)
• Punctual, reliable and are willing to work overtime when required
• May require to travel
Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related field
• HACCP Certification
• FSMA Certifications (FSVP, PCQI, Produce Safety)
• PrimusGFS Standards
• All other training required to upkeep Food Safety Management System
Technical Skills
• Must be able to read and write English (Spanish is a plus)
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe)
• NAV System (not required but a plus)
• Ability to write reporting summary
