About the Role:
The Food Safety Technician ensures alignment of the system with Ferrero food safety and quality requirements as well as enforces and promotes all company guidelines, policies, and good manufacturing practices.
Pay rate: $25 / hour, eligible for performance based progression increases after 90 days, 6 months and 1 year
Main Responsibilities:
* Guarantee the yearly reviews and alignment of Food Safety Plans with Ferrero requirements
* Provide support to the facility to facilitate the implementation, maintenance, and audit of good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
* Manage the Control Documentation Management in the facility
* Monitor the results of glass, wood, and plastic checks and guarantee the closure of corrective actions
* Manage foreign bodies in the facility
* Support to Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions
* Manage CAPAs to guarantee improvements
* Supports operators to verify that the activities in the floor are aligned with Food Safety requirements
* Assist with tracking trending KPIs
Who we are looking for:
Required
* Associates Degree or higher in Food Science or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant work experience in managing a food safety system
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Experience in using mathematics and statistical analysis on data and results trending
* Understanding of industry related documents
Preferred
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices GMP and HARPC
* Food manufacturing experience
* PCQI certification
* HACCP SQF FSSC 22000 experience
