Job DescriptionDescriptionFood Service WorkerLocated in Abilene, TX on Dyess Air Force Base. Must be able to pass a background check for base access. Pay is $18.20 per hour, schedule is Fri 12:30-4p, Sun 1p-7:15p, Mon 12:30p-7:30p, Thu 1p-7:30p Part Time Food Service Workers perform all cleaning, prep and restocking duties required to meet the standards of the Performance Work Statement. 1. Perform all sanitation tasks2. Cleans dining rooms:a. Cleans tables and chairsb. Removes trays from tablesc. Restocks table condimentsd. Vacuum and sweep carpets, sweep and mop floors3. Perform dishwashing duties:a. Set up and tear down dishwasherb. Unload busser cartsc. Pre-scrapes and stacks dishesd. Pull, stack and ensure the cleanliness of dishes, place in racks for use on serving linee. Ensures serving areas are properly stocked with service items for patrons4. Perform line serving duties:a. Perform temperature checks on all line products placed for serviceb. Ensure cleanliness of line and surrounding areas to include floor during serving hoursc. Ensure product replenishment for the line, inform cooks on items prior to running out of productd. Responsible for serving line maintenance as outlined in the Performance Work Statemente. Responsible for cleaning standards as outlined in Performance Work Statement5. Responsible for restocking fruits, salads, milks, juices, etc. prior to and during meal period6. Responsible for kitchen area including:a. Trash and garbage removalb. Sweep/ mop kitchen area as required for maintaining standards in the PWSc. Deep clean kitchen equipment, ovens and overhead hoods as outlined in PWS7. Perform pots and pans duties to include:a. Understanding of minimum temperatures for wash, rinse and sanitation waterb. Required minimum temperature of mechanical washing equipmentc. Proper drying and racking techniques to ensure complete drying of wares8. Maintaining sanitation requirements of:a. Pots and pans washing area including counters, sinks and machineryb. Pots and pans storage racks, shelving and holding inserts used for utensil storage9. Maintain outdoor areas to include:FOOD SERVICE/WORK SERVICES CORPORATIONa. Cleaning of back dock and stairsb. Customer entrances to ensure safety and sanitation issues are maintainedc. Removal and cleaning of waste cans, bussing carts and portable holding unitsd. Arrangement of outside storage items in a safe, clean and presentable manner10. Professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy11. Performs other job-related duties as required by the on duty supervisorJOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: None required.Experience: None required. Prior Food service experience preferredSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Ability to meet basic requirements of the position as stated in the Performance Work Statement. Possess or learn basic knowledge of food handlingprocedures, sanitation and personal hygiene standards. Ability to adapt to work changes. Must be able to understand and comprehend English. Ableand willing to follow simple instruction in job requirements and safety procedures. Able to perform simple tasks without constant supervision. Abilityto learn and utilize kitchen equipment as required in performing job tasking. Must be able to distinguish between food preparation items and chemicalsLicenses/Certificates:Must be able to pass ServSafe Food Handler's test and maintain yearly. Must be able to pass a military background check and maintain an Air Force basepass, background checks are handled by the Air Force and done annually.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
