This role involves developing, optimizing, and ensuring the quality control of cannabis-infused edibles and products, requiring deep expertise in food science and cannabis properties for safety, consistency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has cannabis industry experience, technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for innovation!What you'll do:Product Development:Lead stage-gate Product Development Process from concept to execution, formulating and developing new cannabis-infused products.Optimize existing products and conduct research on ingredients, infusion techniques, and delivery methods.Perform shelf life, sensory, and quality attribute testing, and conduct trials with manufacturing sites.Work with cannabis extracts and isolates, and serve as a subject matter expert on food science matters.Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance:Ensure product consistency, safety, and compliance with quality control measures.Conduct sensory evaluations, stability testing, and shelf-life studies, developing and refining SOPs with Quality Assurance teams.Stay current with cannabis product regulations, ensuring all products meet legal standards.Maintain confidentiality of product/process/experiment information and assist with developing nutrition facts, allergen labeling, and ingredient declarations.Innovation & Market Trends:Monitor industry trends and consumer preferences for new product opportunities.Collaborate with marketing teams to translate consumer insights into product concepts and lead Innovation Committee on trends and research.Conduct product research and market analysis.Support continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce cost, or improve quality.Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Third-Party Production teams.Provide technical guidance during scale-up and commercialization of new products.Communicate research findings and development progress to stakeholders.Utilize project management tools to drive progress and deliver results on multiple projects.About you:B.S. in Applied Science (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science) or B.A. with 3 years of relevant experience.Minimum Requirements/Experience:3+ years in food production R&D and science, ideally in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Food Industry.1+ years of independent formulations.2+ years in new or commercialized CPG product launches.Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and sensory evaluation.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Preferred Experience:1+ years in a food manufacturing environment.Lean Six Sigma or 5S methodologies.Experience working cross-functionally with various levels of employees.Experience in cannabis industry processes (extraction/cultivation/decarboxylation).Physical Requirements:Ability to work seated/standing for extended periods.Must be able to speak clearly with co-workers and vendors.Visual acuity for reading, computer terminal viewing, and small part inspections.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.21 years old minimum age requirementMust pass internal and external background check including criminal history check by the State Police and FBIMust obtain and maintain a Cultivation Registration Identification CardJob Type: Full-Time Onsite in Delavan, IL (1 Revolution Way, Delavan, IL 61734) *Relocation Assistance is discretionary but available to qualified candidates, so all are encouraged to apply Revolution is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
