Job DetailsJob LocationEarly Learning Center 1 - Reno, NVSalary Range$14.00 - $15.00 HourlyDescriptionFuel Great ConnectionsCome work in a group of Reno/Sparks child care centers that support not only the development of children in our care but also the success of our staff.As a server in our early learning center, you'll work independently and as part of a team to serve meals and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 6 weeks to five years. You'll focus on their nutritional needs by:
- plating healthy and appealing meals guided by a preplanned menu,
- washing and sanitizing dishes and equipment including baby bottles,
- and assisting in classrooms as needed, participating in the children's activities and play.
You'll also get support from a full and engaged admin team, including a behavior specialist dedicated to each center and directors that don't hesitate to roll up their sleeves and change a diaper or to address incidents and behavior with parents.These are some of the additional things you will do working with infants and toddlers in our early learning centers:
- Receive, label, rotate, and stock all ingredients in the cupboards, freezer or refrigerator.
- Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits and vegetables, as needed.
- Assist with daily sanitization of classroom toys and equipment.
- Complete a variety of professional development courses, including courses on nutrition and child development.
- Maintain the safety of our children and staff, and ensure an optimal experience for all.

- Pay starts at $14/hour up to $15/hour, depending on full-time/part-time status, experience, and education.
This is what your day could look like as a cook with our early learning centers:
- This role is part time, with somewhat flexible part time scheduling. We always aim for consistent schedules for our staff to promote work-life balance.
- Our locations are open Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 6pm. The typical shifts is:
- 7:30am to 1pm or 8am to 1:30pm.
- We have five locations throughout Reno/Sparks, and while staff are assigned to one location, reliable transportation to all sites is preferred. This opening is for a position at our location at 1270 Foster Drive.
