QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploma/Graduate Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) preferred.
- Previous experience in Food Service preferred.
- Ability to communicate and understand instructions sufficiently to perform responsibilities independently.
JOB SUMMARY Assists in the delivery of services to patients and employees. Maintains a clean and sanitary environment following all procedures for washing dishes, pots and pans. Responsibilities also include the transportation and retrieval of food carts and the upkeep of kitchen and dining room areas, working on the tray line, delivering items to and from the clinical units, handling cash and working a cash register.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Standing and walking continuously up to six hours.
- Lifting 1-11pounds continuously, up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Push, pull up to 21-50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Bend, twist, squat, and reach frequently.
- Continuously grasping with both hands.
- Occasionally fine manipulation with one hand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Strips and cleans dishes from food carts.
- Handles and stores clean dishes and service ware appropriately.
- Works in other kitchen areas when required.
- Delivers call backs to units during mealtimes.
- Washes and sanitizes pots, pans, and utensils according to established procedures.
- Transports food carts to and from patient units.
- Maintains department sanitation and food safety.
- Cleans tables and work areas as assigned.
- Removes trash.
- Washes floors and walls.
- Cleans department equipment.
- Follows regulatory guidelines for the safe handling of food, dishware and chemicals.
- Work as cashier for employee cafeteria
- Stock clinical units with premade formulas, beverages, and snacks
- Assist in checking in deliveries and putting away products
