**Job Shift:** Shift 1

**Shift Details:** Works 8 or 5 hour shifts, weekends and holidays a must, may work any of the following shifts 630a-3p, 7a-330p, 1130a-8p, and 3p-8p. The needs of the department dictate the schedule.

St. Vincents Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. **Position Summary:** The Food & Nutrition Service Associate provides routine support services such as preparing patient trays, assisting with food preparation, replenishing supplies, washing dishes and equipment in the cafeteria, kitchen, and/or patient tray service areas.

**Position Responsibilities:**

- Maintains proper sanitation of food service areas and equipment and adheres to stringent food handling procedures.

- Able to handle cash

- Strong customer service skills

- Reports to Team or Unit Leader.

**Qualifications**

**Education/Experience:**

* One year related experience preferred.

* High School education or equivalent preferred

* Basic Math skills.

* May require ability to tolerate lifting up to 30 lbs and long term standing. Entry level.

* Ability to speak, read and write English. Bilingual a plus.
