**Job Description**
**JOB SUMMARY:**
Prepares, cooks, and assembles food for hospital guests, caf, and all inside and outside catering events. Maintains sanitation
guidelines.
Experience:
Two years foodpreparation experience
Licensure/Certification:
Sanitation Certified (within 3 months of hire)
Additional Skills:
Good communication skills.
Able to interpret and follow recipes.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of kitchen equipment.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
-Follows standardized recipes to ensure good quality and adequate quantities of food for all dietary meal programs.
-Documents food temperatures prior to and during each service. Takes action when temperatures do not meet standards.
-Consistently uses the proper procedures of food rotation and handling.
-Prepares food items to order for breakfast, lunch, and dinner patient trays. Prepares patient meal trays according to tray tickets.
-Refers to catering requests for hot or cold production items required for special events.
-Ensures cafe food is ready for service and on time.
-Prepares all items as needed for service areas.
