The purpose of this position is to set goals and objectives for day to day activities of the Food & Nutritional Services Department. Significant operational changes will be made with guidance from the Chief Operating Officer. The Food Service Director assures adequate, nutritious, and aesthetically appealing meals are prepared for patients, employees, and guests. Specific tasking not only encompasses a patient dining room and on unit feeding, but also an employee cafeteria, extensive in-house catering, and an opportunity for growth. Minimum qualifications: Substantial experience in hospital dietary department leadership, budgetary leadership, budgetary accountability, and systems approaches to efficiencies Ability to coordinate the activities and work flow of subordinates Preferred qualifications Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietary Manager, or a graduate with a four year degree from an accredited college or university in nutrition or related field.
