This is an IMRF position.Qualifications:1. Read, write, and understand the English language2. Demonstrate good judgment, trustworthiness, dependability, promptness, flexibility and emotional maturity3. Maintain good personal hygiene and grooming4. Pass a physical examination, including a TB test (cost to be covered by the employee)5. Ability to lift a case of product, pans, filled milk cases, etc., up to 50 pounds on a regular basis6. Demonstrate good managerial, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and commit to be a team player7. Demonstrate good food service presentation and sanitation skills8. Pass the mandated fingerprint screening required of all new employees9. Have prior experience in the field of food service or have the ability to adapt to the school food service environment10. Have an interest in food services11. Pass an Illinois Food Service Sanitation Course within the first year of employment12. Ability to perform a variety of functions/tasks in the operation where the employee is located13. Willingly accept direction14. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent15. Be willing to cross train in all aspects of the operation16. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with staff and studentsResponsibilities:1. Abide by Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations2. Perform a variety of tasks necessary to a school lunch program, including loading, driving deliveries, and unloading food items ateach site while maintaining safe and sanitary conditions in food delivery3. Assist in the preparation of food items following quantity cookery techniques, productions records, and approved recipes4. Portion food attractively, accurately, and according to the USDA specifications5. Serve all stations in the service area and provide exceptional customer service6. Perform cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities as required by local health department regulations and school policies7. Adhere to safe and sanitary food handling procedures as required by local health department regulations and school policies8. Understand and know how to use the Mealtime POS system9. Count and allocate all daily receipts, demonstrate balance meal counts, prepare bank deposits and any other requested reports10.
