Part-Time, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position$17.00 per hour, 25 hours per weekMonday through Friday, 8:00am-1:00pmBASIC FUNCTION OF FOOD SERVICE AND INVENTORY COORDINATOR: Provide oversight of all departmental products and seasonal operations of the Meals in Motion Food Truck. RESPONSIBILITIES OF FOOD SERVICE AND INVENTORY COORDINATOR:
- Oversight of all departmental products and tracking of inventory, including but not limited to pet food, diaper bank, liquids, shelf stable meals and Food Truck.
- Order and receive all senior nutrition departmental products as needed.
- Keep all departmental products adequately stocked to avoid shortages and maintain inventory list/tracker.
- Maintain storage and packaging space for all departmental products organized and clean.
- Conduct food preparation for the food truck and provide full food services from the truck.
- Sanitize food services areas and serving utensils in food truck prior to each use.
- Maintain knowledge of all operating systems in the food truck.
- Serve meals from the food truck in a friendly manner.
- Safeguard all donations collected for food truck events.
- Responsible for regular maintenance management and repair of food truck to ensure proper functionality.
- Clean interior of food truck after every use.
- Work with caterer to generate monthly food truck menu and distribute to participating senior housing buildings in a timely manner.
- Primary point contact for all food truck event request and responsible for coordinating all schedule events for the food truck including but not limited to: menu planning, invoicing and maintaining proper up to date permits as needed.
- Make supply runs to purchase or pick up products as needed.
- Complete weekly and monthly packaging of products by route/client for MOW driver pickup.
- Coordinate weekly pet food pickup from supplier with maintenance staff.
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, food truck assistant and inventory assistant.
- Participate in food truck production and service for events such as but not limited to: senior center events, private and/or fundraising events. These events may occasionally increase hours of work.
- Other related duties as assigned.
RequirementsREQUIREMENTS OF FOOD SERVICE AND INVENTORY COORDINATOR: Education: High School or GEDExperience: Previous experience with record keeping, inventory control and/or Food Service preferred. Must have ability to drive an automatic small transit bus. Job Skills:

Licenses /certifications:
- Must have a valid CT drivers license.
- Serv-Safe certification or QFO certified 60 days after being in position.
