Watch Alaska DOC's video here:DOC Extended Cut.mp4 (vimeo.com) What You Will Be DoingSupervise inmate workers in all aspects of the preparation and serving of approximately 650 meals per day, in a secure, efficient, and timely manner at Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Ensure the standard recipes are followed and each food item is portioned properly. Ensure that a variety of diets are properly prepared for each meal which includes, but is not limited to: regular, no pork, vegetarian, low cholesterol/low fat, diabetic, food allergy, finger food, and other diets as prescribed by the Medical Department. At any given time, 20% to 30% of the population is composed of inmates in pre-trial status. Approximately 80% of the population is composed of sentenced felons.Who We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will possess the following strengths, skills, and abilities:Ability to work cooperatively with supply users and supply vendorsCheck menus daily ensuring that the proper items in the amounts needed are available.
