- Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License
- Knowledge and experience of the practices, procedures, materials and supplies of HVAC, electrical and plumbing
- Experience with commercial food service equipment, including refigerators, ice machines, gas stoves & ovens, steamers, warmers, and fryers
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Status: At-will Employee/ Responsible To: Director of Food Service & Assistant Superintendent for Operations Job Goal: To troubleshoot, repair, and provide preventative maintenance of all food service owned commercial food service equipment to ensure cost-effective, safe and efficient operation Performance Responsibilities:
- Maintains neat appearance, courteous conduct, and works amicably with all school and maintenance personnel
- Maintain repair of food service refrigeration/freezer equipment
- Repair cafeteria equipment and provide Food Service Director updates on work orders
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule routine for all food service owned equipment
- Order parts and supplies in accordance with district purchasing guidelines
- Conduct In-Service staff training on proper cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment
- Respond to emergency and after hours food service equipment failures to ensure continuation of service and operations, as needed
- Participates in additional training provided by the Board of Education that would relate to this field of work
- Possesses knowledge of materials, supplies and equipment relating to this field
- Possesses and maintains a valid South Carolina Driver's License
- Performs other related duties as required as well as all other duties as assigned
