Intermediate District 287 is looking for qualified candidates to fill Food Service Worker vacancies due to approved absences at various locations in our district.Food Service Workers are responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of food. Food Service Workers also perform semi-skilled work preparing, cooking and serving breakfast and lunch foods, cleaning kitchen and utensils, maintaining records and related work as assigned.Pay Rate: $16.25 per hour DOE and EHours: 6:00 am to 2:20 pmRequirements:High school diploma or GEDPrior work experience that would enable an individual to be able to effectively perform the above listed job duties.Commitment to Equity: Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications as described in a job description.
