LOCATION: UHealth Tower
The Food Services Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Food Service Supervisor. The Food Service Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of the assigned cafeteria to ensure smooth operations. Moreover, the incumbent oversees subordinate staff to ensure optimal performance in furtherance of the departmental goals and objectives.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Supervises the handling of all cash transactions and charges according to established policies and procedures.
+ Ensures that costs do not exceed the amount of money allocated for food service.
+ Inspects cafeteria to ensure proper health and sanitation standards are maintained.
+ Ensures that all federal, state, and local health codes for food service operations are followed.
+ Assures supplies and food items are replenished and sustains inventory for daily operations.
+ Assists service staff during mealtime and greets residents and guests.
+ Oversees that all set up and breakdown procedures for food and equipment are maintained.
+ Communicates and enforces safety regulations.
+ Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Associate degree in relevant field
+ Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
+ Knowledge of business and management principles.
+ Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
+ Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
+ Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
+ Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
