Our mission is to enrich the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing a foundation of independence and empowerment to reach for their tomorrow and make a difference in the world today.Responsibilities:Supervise employees in the production and service of meals and snacks.Ensure a sanitary environment to avoid sources and transmission of infections and communicable diseases.Monitor hygiene practices to prevent food borne illnesses.Ensure approved menus are followed for nourishing, well-balanced diets.Monitor food production progress and assign duties for timely meal service.Ensure timely departure and return of meals to the Central Kitchen.Monitor food adequacy and address excessive patterns of errors.Conduct in-service training.Operate cash register as scheduled.Complete all required documentation.What You'll Need to Be Successful:Efficient organizational and time management skills.Good oral and written communication skills.Positive work morale.Flexibility in thinking and problem solving.Realistic expectations about the difficulties and challenges of the work.Ability to handle an often-unpredictable work environment.Preferred Qualifications:Typically requires an Associate's Degree or 4 years of food service experience.
