The Food Services Team Member/Cook assists in the organization and delivery of high quality food service for all meals served at YMCA CAMP CLASSEN and is responsible for helping prepare food, cleaning, and any other duties assigned by the food service manager. The Food Services Team Member works under general direction of the Food Service Manager. Requirements The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate prior experience in and/or ability to plan, prioritize and deliver institutional food service. This position requires a passion for the mission of the YMCA and a willingness to do whatever it takes to accomplish that mission. He or she must also be able to successfully relate effectively and work with diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

- Assist in the organization, delivery and quality of the YMCA CAMP CLASSEN food services department.
- Under direction of Food Service Manager, assist in conducting daily food service duties in a manner consistent with State Health Department regulations.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- Assure all food preparation, storage, handling and holding procedures are done within all local and state codes.
- Works creatively when needed to accommodate unique food service needs of the camp program and or our guests.
- Responsible for the proper use and stewardship of camp's natural resources, facilities and equipment.
- Assures the cleanliness and organization of the dining room and related department resources such as buffet tables, seating etc...
- Attends all trainings as required for maintaining position
- Represents the YMCA and YMCA CAMP CLASSEN at all times with professionalism both and work and in public
- Other duties as assigned
