POSITION SUMMARY The Food Service Utility Worker is responsible for assembling / packaging meals for the Senior Mobile Meals Program and assisting in the training of interns in the f ood service program. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Program Operations + Operate Cash Register during hours of operation + Clean tables, chairs, counter tops & microwaves + Sweep & mops floors + Stock Snack Displays and Condiments (i.e.: Tea Bags, Hot Cocoa, ketchup, creamers, sugars, etc.) + Assist customers as needed + Empty all trash containers + Load/empty dish washing machine. + Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized and safe manner + Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment + Perform work tasks in a safe manner and do not take unsafe short cuts + Conduct daily inspections of immediate work area(s) to look for unsafe conditions + Ensure all accidents are promptly reported to immediate supervisor and Human Resources + Be familiar with the Safety and Health Accident Prevention Program and abide by all safety and health rules, work practices, and regulations + Assist Supervisor in fostering development of good work habits in trainees through demonstrating positive work attitudes and habits + Responsible for understanding and adhering to Gateway Community Industries' Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations, and policies. + Attend all required meetings + Perform other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: + High School diploma Experience: + Minimum one year experience in commercial food services Licenses / Certifications: + First Aid & CPR certified WORKING CONDITIONS + Must be able to lift up to 60lbs + Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and bend + Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours per day We are an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V/SO employer
