Atlanta Technical College is currently seeking highly qualified applicants to interview for the Food Service Worker 3 position. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College's main campus just South of downtown Atlanta, GA., and will report to the Cafe' Manager.Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:* Preparing delicious food that is cooked to the specifications of the customer.* Ensures food is fresh, follows recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.* Cook menu items in cooperation with other team members and management. Follows all health and food safety rules.* Function in a fast-paced environment, perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.* Must be a self-starter who understands the importance of having a sense of urgency and accuracy while making customer orders.* Must be a team player and have general knowledge of kitchen and grill procedures.* Cleaning as you go, maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping, and any other duties assigned within the cafe.* Required to be on his/her feet for extended periods of time.* Must be able to frequently squat, stoop, bend or kneel, in addition to reaching above the head and reaching forward.* Continuously use hand strength to grasp utensils, pots and pans.* Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds such as boxes, crates, cartons and stock needed for preparation of food items.* Must be able to work with little or no supervision.* Must be able to follow all school, state, and cafe' rules at all times; and* Any other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:One of full time work experience in food preparation / short order cookingPreferred Qualifications:Two + years of full time work experience in food preparation / short order cookingEqual Opportunity Employer:As set forth in its student catalog, Atlanta Technical College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, political affiliation or belief, veteran status, or citizenship status (except in those special circumstances permitted or mandated by law).
