This position is designated as part-time; rotating shifts. Shifts may be: day shift 6:30am-3:00pm, afternoon shift: 10:30am-7:00pm and/or evening shift: 3:30pm-7:30pm. This position will include at least 16 hours per two-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. The position is not initially eligible for health and dental insurance benefits.Employees in this class perform routine work in the preparation and service of food.**Minimum Qualifications**Knowledge of:+ Materials and methods used in preparing food+ Care and use of cooking utensils and equipment+ Food values and nutritionAbility to:+ Perform simple cooking on a large scale+ Plan and prepare small meals on a household scale+ Perform simple cleaning and food service tasks+ Follow instructions**Preferred Qualifications**+ Experience prepping, plating, and serving food+ Knowledge of basic sanitation standards**Additional Requirements**This position requires successful completion of the following:+ A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.+ A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.+ Employment reference checks will be conducted on all finalists.
