Job Description:
Provide support to cafeteria operations at a research facility. Work as team member and/or independently in a cafeteria kitchen. Responsible for the operation of a small cafeteria. Plan and direct the overall kitchen operations including purchasing, inventory control, and food production and planning menus. Perform tasks concerned with preparation and serving of food and beverages. Set up and break down food counter. Assists in preparation of hot and cold meals, salads, soups and desserts for cafeteria take out use. Operate cafeteria equipment such as, dishwasher, meat slicer, small kitchen appliances, etc. Perform other duties as determined and assigned by department manager. Roles/ Responsibilities: Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
