We've got 3 appliances on the market and a strong presence in food tech - help us continue to grow as our ambitious new Food Sourcing Manager. Join an experienced team of business leaders, engineers, and food fulfillment experts with a track record of successful startup exits. As Suvie's Food Sourcing Manager, you'll work closely with our Head of Sourcing and VP of Culinary to deliver high-quality, delicious food to our customers.RequirementsResponsibilities
  • Source high-quality foods
  • Identify and establish good relations with vendors - cold calling, writing RFPs, researching new vendors, negotiate pricing, and control costs
  • Project manage onboarding new vendors and championing new ingredients
  • Initiate and implement cost savings, improvements, and waste reduction strategies
  • Explore new routes to market to reduce costs and optimize supply chain
  • Communicate status, results, and insights to the executive management team
  • Visit suppliers and attend trade shows to build relationships with new and existing partners
  • Take on additional projects, tasks, and opportunities as they arise
Experience & Skills
  • 3+ years of experience as Purchasing Assistant, Product Sourcing or similar role within the food industry
  • Bachelor degree in related field or relevant experience
  • Knowledgeable about food safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google sheets
  • Experience with sourcing frozen ingredients, complete meals, and proteins
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong collaborator: drives open communication and effectively works with others
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • Eager to learn and grow
