Scale Up Search have partnered with an innovative food manufacturing company, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate R&D Food Scientist.
This position is ideal for a graduate or recently qualified Food Scientist looking for a development opportunity with a rapidly growing business, working with a high performing team in a fast paced environment.
You will play a key role in collaborating with the R&D manager and product development lead to create new products aligned with market trends and customer needs, with a focus on nuts, trail mix, clusters, and bars.
The role also supports the scale-up of lab processes to large-scale production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Stay informed on market trends to guide product innovation.
- Production Trials Support: Assist in scaling lab-based product development to full-scale production.
- Training and Mentorship: Train R&D technicians on new prototypes, ensuring all quality standards are upheld.
- Specifications: Support the development and monitoring of product specifications
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations for branded and private label projects.
- Research Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert research findings into actionable product development and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field
- Experience in food product development, food technology, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of food ingredients, formulation principles, and processing techniques.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and an understanding of pilot plant operations.
Skills:
- Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
