Role and Responsibilities:

As a Mess Attendant you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our dining facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of custodial and food service tasks. The core duties and essential responsibilities of this position include:

  • Work with a team that primarily composed of individuals with disabilities.
  • Setting up, maintaining, replenishing, and breaking down beverage stations to provide accessible refreshments.
  • Keeping dining tables clean and sanitized, filling dessert cases, and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Managing serving lines by setting up, replenishing, and maintaining them, as well as serving meals.
  • Mop tile and concrete floor areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures regularly to uphold a clean environment.
  • Wash and disinfect washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers, and fixtures to ensure hygiene. Clean mirrors to provide a clear and polished appearance.
  • Empty waste baskets and garbage cans, properly disposing of waste materials.
  • Place garbage in outside storage bins for proper disposal. Clean entrances and exits, including glass, doors, and hardware, to maintain a welcoming appearance.
  • Adhering to safety procedures and standards to ensure a safe working environment.

          • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to fifty (25) lbs.
          • Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
