Job Summary
Responsible for management of the daily operation of the football office and serves as a main point of contact for program operations. Represents the football program at external, campus and wider community events with the Head Football Coach. Responsible for oversight of the programs budget and forecasting. Serves as the department's administrative liaison and works closely with athletic administration, on-campus partners, external constituents and the ASUN Conference to ensure overall success of the football program.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees and supervises the day-to-day administrative operations of the football program, including direct supervision over major components such as budget, compliance, alumni relations, and fundraising/coaches club
2. Coordinates football team support activities, such as operations, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, equipment, video operations, enrollment services, compliance, fiscal responsibility, communications, and academic support
3. Coordinates daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual plans along with Head Football Coach, and Director of Football Operations that best maximizes student-athlete schedules and times based on NCAA regulations and academic needs
4. Coordinates gameday activities with partners from across the athletic department including but not limited to KSUAA Game Day Operations, facilities, marketing, and ticketing
5. Serves as the main point of contact with campus Event and Venue Management for all football related actives, i.e., games, practices, camps, and recruiting initiatives.
6. Understands staffing plans for recruiting and review plans and expenses to ensure efficient use of time and resources available to the program
7. Oversees the coordination of recruiting visits and collaborate with department efforts as needed
8. Confers with the athletics administration, Head Football Coach, and/or Compliance, regarding any actual or potential violation of NCAA rules, and recommends procedures to preclude such violations
9. Manages and supervises all assigned administrative football support staff
10. Works with the Head Football Coach, Director of Football Operations and football equipment manager to develop travel plans for all away games as well as logistical operations for home contests
11. Collaborates with Head Football Coach, Director Football Operations and KSUAA Business Office to develop and review annual budget
12. Supports the Director of Football Operations, responsibility to oversee, execute and reconcile the football budget, including adherence to university and department procurement guidelines
13. Collaborates with various internal department groups that assist with the football program to keep all parties up to date
14. In conjunction with Head Football Coach, athletics administration and HR manages all personnel actions, including promotions, reclassification requests, contract renewals or cancellations for Assistant Coaches, and salary adjustments for staff
15. Represents Head Football Coach at various meetings and department functions when necessary; including all duties and responsibilities, which may arise from time-to-time such as University and ASUN Conference committee assignments
16. Acts as the primary administrative liaison to the Head Football Coach
17. Collaborate with Head Football Coach and athletics administration on long term vision and execution plan for KSU football
18. Responsible for all football game contracts in coordination with the athletic administration
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, preferably business management or a related field
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license
Required Experience
Eight (8) years of collegiate athletic department experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Experience in managing a multi-million-dollar budget with various levels and the ability to use existing resources efficiently to align with departmental budgetary goals
Prior collegiate coaching, and or playing experience a plus

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint)
