Luther Family Ford is searching for a light duty vehicle technician to join our Service Department as a Mobile Service Technician.This position is responsible for performing Ford Recalls and light duty vehicle service repairs remotely, at the guests preferred place of business. All training provided.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Customer service* Complete vehicle repairs using appropriate tools and OEM instructions.* Perform mobile PM (Maintenance) Services.* Provide support for the customer and answer questions.* Order parts necessary for field repairs.* Test drive vehicles to confirm complaint and/or repair.* Maintain responsibility for minimal parts inventory.* Maintain tool organization and maintenance on tools and equipment.REQUIRED QUALIFICIATIONS:* Mechanical experience in the automotive industry preferred. but will train the right candidate.* Commitment to Luther Family Ford company philosophy regarding customer service.* Ability to work independently without supervision at customer location.* Positive and helpful attitude towards vendors, guests, and fellow employees.* Well organized, attentive to detail, and efficient with time.* Possess a willingness and ability to learn.* Good communication skills including email, text, phone.* Customer service skills for face-to-face contact with customers.* Able to describe in written reports the mechanical and diagnostic work performed.* Strong computer experience with email programs, internet browsers, and Windows-based programs.* Clean and care for a service vehicle, tools, parts inventory, and equipment.The right candidate will have a clean driving record, a strong employment history, and be able to pass a background check.
