Knowledge of established buried/bore cable installation procedures and techniques. Be familiar with wide range of tools and equipment, ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions. Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of directional drilling operations
- Must be proficient with drilling equipment and knowing its capabilities and limitations
- Experience with drill set up and design processes
- Must be able to develop and maintain a bore schedule
- Must have good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Must be very safety conscientious and involved in new site Job Safely Analysis - JSA's prior to starting construction
- Must be able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
- Safely operates directional drills on jobsite
- Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the jobsite
- Demonstrates job skill, procedures and techniques to crew members
- Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- Strong technical knowledge of directional drilling operations.
- 5 years of directional drilling experience
- Valid Driver's license required, Class A CDL preferred
- Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to meet critical deadlines under stressful conditions
- Highly organized and the ability to multitask
- Ability to accurately measure distance, using tapes or other measuring devices
