You will take on a leadership role, providing direction, driving innovation, and executing the most intricate framing projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Master Framing Carpenter: Lead and take charge of the most complex and architecturally significant framing projects, ensuring top-tier execution.
  • Framing Tasks: Be a Tier 1 framer with expert knowledge of high-level framing methods. Read and interpret floor plans, structural drawings, and adjust structures as needed.
    • Frame custom roof designs, understand intricate wall configurations, load-bearing points, shear requirements, and prepare trusses.
    • Frame with rough sawn timber and integrate framing with structural steel columns and beams.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of city and state building codes.
  • Project Leadership:
    • Act as the main point of contact for subcontractors, developers, superintendents, and homeowners.
    • Plan project steps with foresight and ensure your crew is set up for success, assigning tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
    • Manage lumber and truss delivery, ensuring accuracy against lumber lists.
    • Meet with inspectors to ensure clear communication and limit punch-list items.
    • Handle staffing changes, perform performance reviews, and provide feedback to crew members.
    • Utilize project management apps to update progress weekly and collaborate with Project Managers to find solutions for project success.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: 8+ years of framing or relevant construction experience with a proven record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Physical Strength: Able to lift and maneuver up to 80lbs of lumber or materials, maintaining physical endurance throughout the job.
  • Tools and Machinery: Certified and skilled in forklift operations, with the ability to drive trucks and trailers. Competent with power tools and capable of performing simple repairs on-site.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams through complex projects and set high standards for workmanship.
  • Work Ethic: A strong work ethic, proactive attitude, and commitment to efficiency are essential.
  • Team Player: Good communication skills and a collaborative approach, ensuring smooth teamwork.
  • Reliable Transportation: Reliable transport to ensure consistent, punctual arrival at job sites.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required
Certifications
  • Forklift certified and experienced.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification required.
