Who are we: As framing contractors, our scope of work typically includes everything from the construction of floors, walls, roofs, sheathing, soffits and fascias to the installation of doors, windows and stairs. We can also customize our scope to respond to the varied needs of our builders/clients. Our management team represents more than a century of on-site construction experience. We have assembled the finest team of supervisors, carpenters, and administrative personnel in the industry. Through their efforts and teamwork, Nomad Framing has pioneered innovations and advances in the framing industry. The Foreman responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to clients' requests, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications. You should also be able to help the project manager solve project-related problems. Foreman's Responsibilities: Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team. Communicating with clients in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed. Calculating the amount of labor, time, and materials needed for each project. Creating and adjusting project schedules accordingly. Ordering all construction materials needed for projects. Supervising the company's field laborers, carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors. Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. Proven experience in construction. Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures. The ability to safely operate power tools. The ability to read blueprints. Excellent time management skills. Effective communication skills. Strong leadership skills. This is a hands-on position. We offer steady, long-term production work. Our projects are currently located in North and Central New Jersey, and New York.
