Job Overview:
As a Foreman at Client, you will oversee and coordinate operations on-site to ensure that projects are completed safely and efficiently. Your leadership and expertise will guide a team of skilled workers while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. You will play a critical role in bridging communication between management and site staff, driving productivity, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Design and execute detailed lift plans.
- Drive and maneuver all trucks as required on-site.
- Supervise and mentor field personnel to ensure optimal productivity, reporting to the General Foreman as needed.
- Oversee crew activities, ensuring adherence to safety and project requirements.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and foster a culture of safety.
- Evaluate and approve work completed by project teams, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Communicate project updates, issues, and concerns to management promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inventory requests.
- Resolve operational issues as they arise to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of all on-site equipment.
- Facilitate training for new staff and encourage a collaborative work environment.
- Assist in project planning and execution, aligning activities with company objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role in the construction or rigging industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Required certifications include:
- OSHA 30
- Forklift Certification
- Advanced Rigger Certification
- Signalman Certification
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Experience with project management and scheduling software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
