Are you interested in joining a team focused on training, growth and advancement? If so, Shaw Electric is the place to be. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mostly working in Commercial and/or Industrial setting
- Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to determine methods to install wire and conduit according to NEC and local codes within time limits.
- Installs conduit and fixtures (e.g. lighting, alarms, signage, etc.) to provide enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
- Completes layout and installs underground conduit and rigid conduit.
- Installs, and supports, cable tray and pulls cable tray wire.
- Terminates panels per drawings in a neat and professional manner
- Assists with project job material - including ordering, receiving material on-site (checking for accuracy and condition of material), processes paperwork promptly, and ensure timely return and check-in of unused materials.
- Responds to emergency situation during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Ensures all work at job site is performed in a safe manner. Follows all safety procedures, conducts safety meetings and toolbox chats, and encourages others to work safely. Attends required safety training. Promotes and documents safe work practices to ensure compliance with customer, OSHA and company guidelines.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in continuing education classes to maintain current knowledge of industry trends and technologies, and/or to meet minimum education requirements as determined by Shaw Electric, Inc., or government agencies.
- Others duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:
- Class A Journeyman License
- Valid Driver's License with ability to travel to job sites
- Certification to operate all levels of lifts
- Ability to pass physical, drug test and audiology during pre-employment testing
