Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Directional Drill Foreman to oversee directional drilling operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will manage a drilling crew, ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards, and ensure timely completion for projects.
Essential Functions:
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of directional drilling crews, including operators and laborers.
* Safely operate a pick-up truck or bigger while towing a trailer.
* Oversee daily on-site operations to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to project deadlines and address any issues that arise.
* Review project plans and specs to ensure accurate execution of drilling activities.
* Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
* Provide training and guidance to crew members on equipment operation, safety procedures and best practices.
* Communicate effectively with management to report progress and address concerns.
* Prepare and maintain documentation related to drilling activities, including progress reports, redlines, incident reports and call in Dig tickets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* CDL-A license required.
* Strong knowledge of directional drilling techniques, safety practices, and equipment maintenance.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a crew.
* Extensive experience in directional drilling operations, including previous experience in a supervisory role.
* Basic computer skills including basic understanding of Excel, Adobe, Outlook.
* Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
* Good communications skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to scoop, bend, and lift up to 75lbs.
* Ability to work in the following environments: Outside. Hot, cold, rain, snow.
* Ability to travel out of state when required.
* Ability to be on call.

Compensation:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly pay-range for this position is $35.00/hr - $45.00/hr. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
