Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on construction projects

Position reports to Superintendent

Superintendent sets the working hours

This position is classified as hourly

CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30-Hour, LSC Basic Orientation Plus (BOP) and Site Specific Safety Certification is required.

Successful pre-employment background check for LMC and all military bases is required

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required

10-Year DMV Report required for driving company vehicles (as applicable)as per LMC and insurance guidelines

TWIC card for special projects may be required

Position Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Safetyo Support and comply with company Health, Safety, & Environmental Program, Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace, and Harassment Free Work Environment Programo Understand and enforce safe work practices and personal protective equipment required for employeeso Set yourself as an example for workplace safetyo Inspect the worksite daily and insure a safe work environmento Report all accidents and incidents to Superintendent and a Safety Representative, regardless of how minor, as soon as possible and assist in investigationo Responsible for accessible, clean & organized work siteo Ensure project personnel comply with all project procedureso Deliver weekly safety training to crew; properly document and send to Safety Manager in timely mannero Ensure all employees are authorized and/or certified as a competent person to perform their job• Budget Managemento Thorough knowledge of projects plans and specificationso Thorough knowledge of types and application of materials required thru project completiono Maintain full knowledge of scope of worko Read and study job set up and cost reportso Recognize changes to scope of work & inform Superintendent or Project Manager• Project Planning and Coordinationo Work with engineers, owners, or sub-contractors to accomplish taskso Plan project work with Superintendent or Project Managero Schedule project work with Superintendent or Project Managero Maintain accurate and up to date “as built” drawingso Manage quality of work on projecto Manage project field problemso Order and track material deliverieso Request inspectionso Receive materials, inventories, store safely. Be accountable for inventoryo Request utility locationso Coordinate layout & stakingo Maintains ongoing project punch list• Schedule Managemento Plan one to two days' work in detail with back up plano Plan one week ahead in lesser detail (needs, services, repairs)o Schedule equipment & material requirementso Coordinate people needso Schedule subcontractorso Schedule trucking requirements• Labor Managemento Supervise craft employees and /or sub-contractors to accomplish daily taskso Assume responsibility and maintain productivity of craft employeeso Resolve personnel problems among crewo Interview perspective employees and take disciplinary action for problem employees

o Document all company and safety violations and notify Superintendent and Safety Manager; recommend and implement corrective actions as requiredo Timely evaluation of new hires at 90 days and then at least on a annual basis, thereafter, on proper formso Train crewmembers for the next step in their career patho Evaluate potential employees for promotion/demotiono Create training opportunities for employeeso Share experience and knowledge with crewo Share with crew overall project plan as well as short-term goalso Maintain and submit Employee Time Sheetso Complete and submit Job Reports in detailo Turn in signed material receipts with dailies.
