Job Description:

This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.

Forest Health - 2025 Seasonal Forestry Technician Description and Details

Duties:

* Address public and private tree health assistance requests statewide.

* Assist with insect trapping for emerald ash borer.

* Apply Forest Health sampling methods to accompany assistance visits.

* Conduct tree health surveys in communities statewide.

* Collect and manage data to assist long-term FH monitoring.

* Coordinate with Forest Health manager and full-time staff to provide field services for ongoing Forest Health initiatives statewide.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, April 1, 2025 through September 1, 2025 (start and end date are negotiable)

Advertised Pay: Starting at $21.00/hour

Preferred Experience and Skills:

* Experience working with landowners on forestry or related conservation practices.

* Familiarity with the use of forestry tools, forest inventory and field sampling techniques.

* Familiarity with identifying trees and shrubs common to ND.

* Knowledge and experience with various field sampling methods.

* Highly self-motivated, dedicated, outgoing, confident, and ethical.

* Ability to work safely without direct supervision.

Required: Valid driver's license.
