This role combines fieldwork with administrative responsibilities, offering a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly influence our forestry programs.If you're interested in joining our team, apply now.Key Responsibilities:
  • Timber Sales: Oversee all aspects from reconnaissance to reforestation planning.
  • Contract Administration: Monitor and ensure compliance with logging contracts.
  • Forest Inventory: Conduct compartment and stand-level forest assessments.
  • Forest Health: Monitor and maintain forest vitality.
  • Planning: Assist in creating land, forest, and resource management plans.
  • Customer Service: Address public inquiries regarding forestry and recreation.
  • Collaboration: Work with state, federal, and other agencies on forest management initiatives.
  • Recreation & Wildlife: Help in planning and developing recreational areas and wildlife habitats.
  • Maintenance: Support the upkeep of department facilities and equipment.
  • Wildfire Management: Assist in wildfire suppression and prescribed burning.

The Person
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in forestry or related field, with a year of relevant experience preferred.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
