Job Summary:
* Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing air foils and disk for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. If you would like to work in a dynamic environment and possess the motivation to incorporate new ideas into practice, this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
* Perform a wide variety of the more complex work within a manufacturing area including set-up and operation of multiple machines and processes, meaningful assistance in the maintenance/tool services area, and significant participation in team administration. Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
* This is an off shift position (not 1st) please be available
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up, operate, or tend presses and forging machines to taper, shape, or form metal.
* Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications.
* Read work orders or blueprints to determine specified tolerances and sequences of operations for machine setup.
* Position and move work pieces through a series of dies that compress and shape stock to form die impressions.
* Start machines to produce sample workpieces and observe operations to detect machine malfunctions and to verify that machine setups conform to specifications.
* Remove dies from machines when production runs are finished.
* Turn handles or knobs to set pressures and depths of ram strokes and to synchronize machine operations.
* Select, align, and bolt positioning fixtures, stops and specified dies to rams and anvils, forging rolls, or presses and hammers.
* Confer with other workers about machine setups and operational specifications.
* Trim and compress finished forgings to specified tolerances.
Basic Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
* One year manufacturing experience.

* Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
