As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products within the warehouse, supporting the organization's mission of advancing scientific solutions. This position emphasizes safety, precision, and partnership in a fast-paced environment.
Shift: Monday - Friday 12pm-8:30pm Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport materials and products.
- Load, unload, and accurately place items in the warehouse or staging areas.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of a warehouse management system (WMS).
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet shipping and receiving goals.
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report any issues.
- Enforce to safety protocols, including the handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with shipment coordination, ensuring compliance with industry packaging and labeling standards.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous forklift certification or ability to acquire one within a set timeframe.
- 1+ years of forklift operation experience, ideally in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of safety standards for material handling and hazardous materials.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
- Effective communication and partnership skills.
Working Conditions: - Warehouse environment with potential exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and extended periods of standing.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
