Job Description: Forklift/Material HandlerWork Location: Vandalia - 3520 Old Springfield Rd, Vandalia OH 45377 Work Location & Shifts: 2nd shift is 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm Monday to Friday ($1.00 additional shift differential pay) Pay: $18.00 an hour. Occasional (OT). Overview: To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc. from location to location within the manufacturing facility. Reads order, gathers ordered materials/doors manually or with forklift, sorts for proper stacking, applies place cards, stages for loading. Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operationPlaces pallets of finished door stacks on wrapper with forkliftPull all production wraps lines as required out of designated areasRequired to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per daySeparate all disposable material into the designated areasMust be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed both daily and on weekends if business need requiresPosition will require appropriate certification to operate equipmentOperate forklift to load and/or move materialsSupply production areas with needed materials from inventoryLoad/unload, lift, move, place, stack raw materials and doorsNavigates throughout plant, including populated and small areasSupports the manufacturing process through inspection and aid to machine operatorsInspect doors and make minor repairsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentHas knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldRead/interpret schedules/tickets/shipping documentsStrong eye/hand coordination and ability to stand for long continuous hoursSelf-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethicConstant attention to detail and accuracy of material placementAbility to work independently and effectively in a team environmentSolid verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-taskAbility to lift to 50+ lbs.Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer serviceFollow all operational and safety SOP's as writtenPerforms any other duties as assigned Safe Production:Masonite strives to maintain a target 0% safety incident rate.
