Basic Purpose:
Safely use a powered industrial forklift truck (sit or stand) to load and unload trucks trailers; to move raw materials from and finish inventory to proper locations; and to move waste materials to proper location for disposal.
Responsibilities:
* The material handler /forklift drivers will relocate palletized loads of materials from the warehouse or from storage trailers to the production areas or to replenish inventory stockpiles. They could remove items from key location on the plant floor and place them in assigned locations.
* In addition to being key team members in maintaining FIFO stock rotation, they are critical to the operations ability to maintain a successful pest control program. The careless operation of powered industrial forklift trucks, hydraulic pallet jacks, and electric assist pallet movers can be devastating to other employees, fixed equipment, walls, doorways, and pest control devices.
* The forklift driver will maintain those records and documents required to assure the safety requirements of equipment operation as well as documents concerning inventory control, and shipping /receiving records.
* Must follow all GMP requirements as they pertain to safety, quality, and food safety.
