Position: Kiln Forklift OperatorReports to: Quality Control SuperintendentPosition Overview: The Kiln Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts during the in-feed and out-feed processes, ensuring efficient material handling and contributing to overall production goals.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Communication: Coordinate with other team members, including machine operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel, to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills:
- The ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial forklift experience in a manufacturing environment (ex.
Taylor 360, Hyster 360) or 3 years of Heavy Equipment operations (Skid Steers, Excavators, etc.)
- Good interpersonal skills and communication
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude
- Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset
- Forklift license considered an asset
