- Operate a forklift, loading and unloading delivery trucks accurately, properly, and promptly according to shipping documents using an e-tablet and perform second load checks to assure the accuracy of every order
- Perform daily maintenance checklist on forklifts
- Assure accurate inventory through processing proper paperwork such as transfer/scrap and pallet returns
- Pick up and re-strap any broken bundles in the yard, and maintain a clean and organized yard
- Proper stock rotation of inventory based on production schedules and dates.
- Monitoring product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues
- Promote good customer relations by demonstrating a willingness to help, knowledge of the product, and a having a friendly attitude
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset and assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Participate in and assist with cycle counting throughout the year, as well as yearly full yard counts
- Maintain a clean and organized yard
- Other tasks and special projects as determined by the needs of the company
What you need to succeed
- Must have at least 2 years of forklift experience and ability pass Unilock licensing test
- Experience with a 5k -10k pound exterior forklift is a plus
- Ability to read & comprehend all shipping related documents, and perform basic math equations
- Ability to distinguish product colors, color blends, and product bundle configurations
- Requires standing, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires the ability to perform work with hands and/or arms in the same repetitive motion above and below shoulder level
- Team-oriented individual with a strong, self-directed work ethic in a fast past environment
- Professional and courteous behavior with a positive attitude in ALL situations.
- Basic computer skills using an e-tablet
- Requires consistent and reliable attendance
