****Position Summary****
Our Mechanicsburg factory, built in 1969, is located just eight miles west of Pennsylvanias state capital of Harrisburg. Our Mechanicsburg factory is one of the largest manufacturers in the area and produces a large portion of Nestl Purinas dry pet food portfolio, including Puppy Chow, Dog Chow, Beneful, Pro Plan, Alpo, Kitten Chow, Cat Chow, Friskies, Nestl Purina ONE and Kit N Kaboodle. Beyond our work in pet food production, we support various local animal shelters and organizations (Susquehanna Service Dogs Organization and Woofstock among others) to more deeply impact our ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. As the Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving finished products through the distribution system in our bustling warehouse. Day to day, you can expect to be loading and unloading trailers, pulling finished product from the production line, and case picking while operating a variety of equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, pull packs, and more.
Candidates must be open to working nights and weekends
**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Operate equipment such as forklifts and walkies with various attachments (pull-pack, slip sheet, etc.), bailers, compactors, and scrubbers
* Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution, load integrity, and all shipping instructions are followed
* Move finished product from the production line and store it in the correct location in the warehouse
* Case pick product following all guidelines using an RF scanner, hand wrap and label products, and stage in the appropriate location
* Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation and cleaning
* Regularly lift items up to 55 pounds
* All other duties as assigned
**Basic Qualification (Minimum):
Education:**
* High school diploma or GED required
**Experience:**
* 1+ years of forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment required
