This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes by managing and delivering inventory effectively. The ideal candidate for the Forklift Operator position will have experience in inventory management, be capable of operating various forklifts, and possess a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator
Issue and deliver inventory to support production operations. Transfer inventory items between locations as needed. Must know how to operate both sit down and stand up Forklift. Utilize the NLPI inventory management system to properly account for inventory transactions, receipts, and shipments. Count and audit inventory as required. Accurately complete related inventory, receiving, and shipping documents. Follow all related work instructions and quality requirements. Ensure all safety rules are followed. Note any discrepancies or damage of shipments or incoming goods. Receive items into NLPI from various vendors and sub-contractors and deliver to appropriate locations. Prepare items for shipping and load products for onward shipment to customers and other destinations. Inventory management, shipping, and receiving. Assist in coordinating with marketing the upcoming shipments and bills of lading. Qualifications of a Forklift Operator
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Forklift experience. Current valid driving license in good standing is required. Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Frequently required to work around hot molding machines. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
