Posted Monday, August 19, 2024 at 4:00 AM | Expires Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 4:59 AMFORKLIFT OPERATORRockaway, NJJob Responsibilities:Forklift truck set-up, inspection & maintenance.Loading, unloading newsprint paper rolls, supplies and other materials.Assisting with recycling and pallet organization.Shipping & receiving, newsprint dock oversight, distribution dock support, and general department housekeeping.Set up print rolls for the Press Department.Ability to utilize a clamp truck or willingness to learn.Off load rolls of paper from semi-trailers and keep accurate records for rolls of paper that are unloaded.Off load product from delivery to the correct storage location.Input material into computer system.Comply with safety policies and practices.Perform shipping/receiving functions as directed.Perform daily cleanup of storage areas and clean production areas as directed.Perform the duties associated with trash and recycling handling.Requirements:This position requires a high school education or equivalent, although production experience of any kind may be helpful along with computer familiarity. Candidates should have the ability to adapt to change, prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, remain flexible and interact with people while demonstrating patience.You must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds with assistance and push/pull up to 2000 pounds with assistance. A Forklift operator spends most working hours on his/her feet.
