The Field Support Center in Tucker, Georgia serves each GMS location, providing the support needed to enable local teams to deliver outstanding service to contractors and builders in their local communities. Position Summary: The primary function of a Forklift Operator (night shift) is to ensure all orders have been fulfilled while assisting and leading assigned activities associated with warehouse operations. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all orders have been fulfilled.
  • Assists and leads assigned activities associated with warehouse operations.
  • Maintain inventory through daily counts and auditing.
  • Be able to organize the warehouse and manage bin locations.
  • Replenish sales floor.
  • Ensure all merchandise are labeled and properly stored.
  • Prepare orders by processing requests: pull accurate materials and place in appropriate area for customer pick up or delivery; loading and unloading trucks as necessary.
  • Utilize the company's inventory software systems to check in products.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Class A Driver's License preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various board sizes and manufactures, mud types, and steel types
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic math skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read a map

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in stationary position while driving commercial vehicle 40%
  • Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for load/unload.
  • Constantly, moving from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicle onto job site.
  • Constantly, operates commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle.
  • Constantly, positions self to unload materials from flatbed or boom.
  • Must wear protective gear and steel-toed boot.
  • Must be able to judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
  • Frequently moves materials weighing up to 80lbs while unloading flatbed.
  • Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly working in outside environment while making deliveries.
Required Cognitive Skills:
  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
