Job Title: Forklift Operator - Temporary Project (Short or Long Term)

Location: Aston, PA

Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday for 4-8 weeks

Pay: $19.50/hour

Job Description:

• Operates sit-down fork lifts. 5000 – 8000 lbs. machines
• Moves materials.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Loads and unloads pallets from and onto tractor trailers and shipping containers.
• Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
• Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport. (limited)
• Documents arrival, departure, and movement and storage of goods, checks trucking manifests and bills of lading, maintains inventory, and tracks fulfillment of customer and vendor orders.
• QR / barcode scanning
• Blocking and bracing containers / trailers.

Requirements:

• Related work experience with recent proven forklift operations
• Ocean Container experience preferred
• LTL Experience preferred
• Familiarity with general warehouse procedures
• Drug test and background check required

Work Environment:

Must be able to work inside of a warehouse and outside, exposed to all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain. Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and carrying will be required throughout the course of a normal day. Must be able to carry 50 lbs. The wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, steel toe shoes, a safety vest, and a hard hat will be required. Other tasks related to cargo management will require sedentary period for computer input and document review. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, and observe all safety and health requirements for container terminal environment and warehouse environment.
