  • We're looking for help on our 12- hour rotating shifts
  • Overtime and weekend work is possible for full-time positions. We also need you to arrive on time to work and maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
Overall Job Duties: The SHL Material Handler in Logistics supports the Shippensburg Plant in the daily picking of orders and distribution of product. He/she is responsible for a variety of miscellaneous duties/functions that include, but are not limited to the following: • Follow all plant safety guidelines, USDA, SQF and SMP guidelines. Required to become skilled in the use of Process Excellence tools and demonstrate these skills as part of their daily job duties • Provide needed support to production lines • Responsible for minimizing product loss • Responsible for promoting open, honest communication, and cooperation with team partners • Maintain a clean work environment • Office coverage for the logistics area at the plant • Responsible for performing basic quality assurance functions • Communicate with drivers, other plants and plant schedulers • Other duties as assigned by TL/TA • Rotate jobs between finished goods truckers and warehouse loaders/pickers This position requires passing a post-offer background check and drug screen Essential Job Functions: 1. Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety. Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position. PCP and CCP checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL. Be able to Identify/ understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation/product. 2. Operate and maintain forklift in safe manner 3. Retrieve product from the cooler storage racks and prepare for distribution following FIFO and customer requirements. 4. Operate scanning device for purposes of tracking product (RMCS and MFCS). 5. Consolidate/re-palletize product once they have met cooling requirement 6. Responsible for pulling product from the production floor to the cooler. 7. Provide office support and coverage in the logistics office 8. Maintain accurate tracking and information on QC checks 9. Accurately locate and track special needs orders 10. Receive delivers properly with lot traceability and communicate out to needed partners 11. Retrieve and transfer packaging to warehouse to production floor as needed 12. Ensure housekeeping and master sanitation completed and documented according to end of shift expectations 13. Use proper lifting techniques 14. Work OT and/or weekends 15. Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language required Compensation and benefits:
